FOR HEALTH, FOR ANIMALS, FOR THE EARTH

Join us for the 8th Annual Richmond Vegetarian Festival! On Saturday, June 19th thousands will gather from all over to try fabulous food, listen to music, and learn from terrific speakers doing cooking demonstrations, and more. The event will run from 12:00 noon to 6:00 pm in the AzaleaGardens at Bryan Park.

The festival seeks to expose people to the vegetarian lifestyle in a friendly way. If you like burgers (veggie!) and fries, or prefer Indian and Thai, African or Mediterranean, Mexican or Asian, you’ll find everything to satisfy your craving for tasty food!

Karen Davis, PhD, President of United Poultry Concerns, will speak at 4pm on “Is There a Difference Between ‘FreeRange’ and ‘Factory Farming’? The Truth Behind the Labels.” For information about speakers, exhibits, food, entertainment, and directions to the event, go to www.veggiefest.org.
