I thank you not only for your generous tax-deductible donations but also for your magnificent activism for the chickens and turkeys and all birds whose liberation and happiness we are working every day to achieve. Next, I am pleased to announce The Global Guide to Animal Protection: An interdisciplinary compendium of worldwide animal rights issues. Published by the University of Illinois Press (2014) and edited by the renowned animal rights author and theologian Dr Andrew Linzey, The Global Guide to Animal Protection includes more than 180 articles that survey the extent of worldwide human exploitation of animals from a variety of perspectives.

Among the contributors to the Global Guide to Animal Protection, I am honored to have been chosen to write the article on “Birds Used in Food Production.”
