Tyson Dismisses Chicken Abuse
Revelations as “Old Videos”

"... these claims, which re-use old videos about matters we’ve already investigated and taken action on."
— Tyson Customer Service

Tyson tortures chickens

Here is Tyson's full Customer Service response to recent inquiries about their chickens:

It’s disturbing to us to see any sick or injured birds, which is why we have a track record of quickly addressing animal welfare concerns.
Our veterinarians and animal health experts are looking into these claims, which re-use old videos about matters we’ve already investigated and taken action on. If our investigation into this farm uncovers anything wrong, we will immediately address it.
The health and well-being of the birds raised for us by independent farmers is extremely important, which is why we employ veterinarians and coordinate third-party animal well-being audits of the farms that supply us.

What Can I Do?

  • Call Tyson on their claim that the latest revelations by Mercy For Animals of chicken cruelty by the company are "old videos." Ask what actions they are taking in response to MFA’s latest disclosures.

  • Ask how they are addressing the filthy chicken houses, genetic deformities, crippled skeletons and rampant diseases, including rotting intestines, rotting skin, respiratory infections and heart attacks in these tortured birds.

  • Ask what specific actions Tyson is taking to prevent the rampant sadism of their workers toward the chickens.

  • Tell Tyson that their cruelty to the chickens has changed your eating habits.
