The annual Public Interest Environmental Law Conference unites activists, attorneys, students, scientists, and concerned citizens to share their expertise, experience, and insights. With 120 panels, keynote addresses, workshops, films, and celebrations, the Conference is a world-renowned gathering for environmentalists in the world. All lunches and all dinners are vegan.
United Poultry Concerns President Karen Davis, PhD, sits on the panel, "Factory Farming and the Environment," Saturday, March 5, from 9:00 – 10:15 AM.
Place: Maple (room) EMU (Erb Memorial Union building), University of Oregon
Panel Topic: Factory farming causes institutionalized animal cruelty, environmental destruction and resource depletion, and animal and human health risks. The panel will discuss these issues, how they affect the environment we live in, and what lawyers and activists can do about factory farms.
