Rally to Stop Killing In Florida Schools & Raise Your Voice on Change.org
Successful Rally Turnout Despite Downpour Thursday March 31 – Here’s More!

To protest the killing of animals in Florida schools, prompted by a sadistic orgy of chicken killing at Hawthorne High School in April 2009, United Poultry Concerns held a protest Rally on March 31 at the Orange County Courthouse in Orlando. Joined by Humane Educators Reaching Out (HERO) and the Animal Rights Foundation of Florida (ARFF), UPC told Fox TV News we want to see compassion instead of cruelty nourished by Florida’s classroom teachers.

To further this goal, UPC and HERO filed a 79-page Petition for Agency Action with the Florida Department of Education in March. Prepared by animal law attorney Adam P. Karp, the Petition seeks promulgation of clear rules implementing Florida’s Humane Education statutes.
