UPC president Karen Davis’s article “I Stopped Saying ‘Meat’ and Here’s Why” sparked a discussion including this podcast interview with Laurent Levy, host of The Other Animals. Posted February 27, the podcast features Karen’s explanation of why she views the word “meat” – certainly its overuse – as an obstacle to animal and dietary liberation. Is “flesh” more liberatory than “meat”? Does saying “animal-free” food help animals?
