Machipongo, VA – United Poultry Concerns President
Karen Davis will speak at Poplar Spring Animal Sanctuary’s
biggest event of the year – and everyone’s invited!
Come enjoy live music, great food from Thyme Square, a silent
auction, Candy Cane the clown, and strolling around to meet the
rescued animals at their amazing sanctuary in Poolesville, Maryland.
Karen Davis will speak about “What Sanctuaries
Teach Us about Chickens and Turkeys.” Drawing upon her own
experience of getting to know chickens and turkeys, Karen will
talk about how these birds inspired her to start a national advocacy
organization and sanctuary on their behalf and what wonderful
teachers and friends they are.
Funds raised will be used to continue to rescue
and provide permanent refuge for abused and abandoned farm animals
and rehabilitated wildlife at Poplar Spring Animal Sanctuary.
RSVP requested. To ensure the safety and happiness of
the rescued animals, no dogs please.
