United Poultry Concerns sent the following letter to the NFPA on March 12, 2014. Please write a letter in your own words urging the NFPA to require sprinklers and smoke control systems in all newly-constructed farmed animal housing facilities. Thank you for speaking out for the millions of incarcerated animals who suffocate and burn to death each year in the U.S. because agribusiness would rather let them die in agony than invest in fire protection systems.
