Knowledgeable speakers
will inform attendees on the latest scientifically-proven benefits of a plant-based diet as well as how foods can fight depression and link to our
emotional well-being. Animal advocates will share what are the most effective actions to relieve the suffering of animals in food production and we will
hear from best-selling author Colleen Patrick-Goudreau, an expert and thought leader on the culinary, social, ethical, and practical
aspects of living vegan.
Be sure to come hungry because the VegFest will have delicious local food vendors including Heidi Ho chia
seed nacho cheese (seen on Shark Tank!), Grindstone Bakery, Vixen Kitchen Vegan Gelato, Miyoko’s cashew cheese, amazing chocolatier Sjaak’s Chocolate
and much more. Lunch choices will include local favorites Seed On The Go Vegan Food Truck, Chalk Hill Cookery and Muir’s Tea Room. There will also be
offerings from Citizen Fox, a soon-to-be open vegan restaurant and brewery in San Francisco.
But that’s not all! Shop for clothing, jewelry, books, DVDs, and much more! Come join us as we share, learn, eat and enjoy. Mark your summer
calendars for August 15th.
