Philosophy Professor Dr. James Hatley of Salisbury University, in Salisbury, Maryland on the Eastern Shore, has invited UPC President Karen Davis to speak to his class in Environmental Philosophy on Monday evening, October 24, 2005, 7:00-8:30 PM in Carruthers Hall, Room 105.

The class meeting being dedicated to animals and ethics, Karen has been asked to share her views on and experiences in the struggle for animal rights. Karen will be joined by Israel Mossman, President of the Jewish Vegetarians of North America based in Federalsburg, Maryland on the Eastern Shore.

Karen Davis and Israel Mossman will relate their views and experiences to their specific knowledge of poultry and dairy farming including family farming and factory farming. Interested people might like to attend.

Time will be allotted for discussion and free literature will be provided.
